Ok ok, I'll be the first to admit, that we didn't find a fortune of gold, but the real treasure was the quality time with new and old friends spent outside on a wonderful day!
To recap. We fortune hunters five headed out mid morning to Wickenberg AZ! For as legend has it, there'd been gold Nuggetts the size of eggs. I tell you true. Not just that, but there'd be piles of them, scattered all over, just like Easter, Except Gold. I digress. We five headed to wickenburg and headed down an old ancient trail, we ended up at Vulture Mine, where they wanted $7 per person to look at some old crap, but we said nay, then brian was wanting to pay $6 to get some gold panning tips. I said Nay. We ended up heading down some dirt road untill it became unpassable, then just hiked down a steap enbankment and found a nice shadey cove. We bassically from there on out we just dug and staired at dirt. But what glittering gleaming dirt! Beautiful. One realy begins to understand the lure of panning for gold, and the meditative humbleness of it all. All in all, the fresh air, the warm sun, the good company, it was a great day.
