Myself and a friend are heading up to explore the Senator Mine in the Bradshaw Mountains tomorrow. This is a very large abandoned gold mine from the 1860s.
If you would like to come along, send me an email at Shane.H.Snyder@asu.edu. We can meet at the McDonalds on Rural and Lemon. I know it's early, but it would be nice to leave around 8, so that we can get back by 4 or 5.
You should bring along at least 2 light sources. I would recommend long pants, a long sleeved shirt, and sturdy shoes as well. The mine will probably be fairly wet, so you might also want to take some dry clothes to change into afterwards.

Hey guys,
Just a few things. Exploring mines is fun, but also sketchy business, as anybody who has ever been in one well knows. I'd recommend at LEAST three independent light sources, and a helmet. Water can be a big concern as well. Just friendly advice from prior caving experience. Have fun, and watch out for stopes! (Big holes in the ground/ceiling for following vertical veins and moving ore and explosives.)
