Jetboil Personal Cooking System with Extra Companion Cup ***** ^{<-- That's Five Stars out of Five}
This weekend I got to use my brand new Jetboil 1-Liter cooking stove. that I bought from REI using my 15% coupon I got for signing up with the club. (Koodos to who ever hooked the club up with those sweet deals.)

One word. Intense! It looks like a regular stove sure, but it sounds like a 757 taking off from you camp site. Holly cow. My first mistake was that I turned the fuel knob one half turn before pressing the ignighter (just a small turn is all that's needed). insant fire ball. (no hair loss though) 2nd mistake. Three seconds latter I poured the water into the cooking cup. Ssspfft! A ball of steam came erupting at my face. (still no hair loss) Last mistake, I put my finger in the water thirty seconds later, and it was already scaulding. (still have all my hair.) Boiling another 30 seconds later. I didn't cook anything in the pot except water this trip, but am looking forward to it in the near future. But it's small enough that I plan on taking it with me on the ski slops so I have something to keep me warm when I fall and break both legs waiting for rescue.

All in all, I've got nothing but good things to say about this stove set. I highly recomend it, and I think after you see someone with one, you'll be hardpressed not to buy one yourself.

so about the same time ago...I purchased a jetboil...and it has gone from the desert up to sub-zero and cooked some snow wicked fast... granted not 2 minutes like water....but infinitely faster than my optimus crux...and was easy to pach bach up.... my favorite iis the bottom cover is a cup...
