I'm leading a trip to the Tonto Narrows this Monday/ Tuesday. This is a moderately difficult hike up the creek and then we'll camp out Monday night and return late Tuesday. Some sections may require floating your pack and swimming up to 1000ft. So you should be a decent swimmer and be capable of scrambling around slippery rocks. Leaving from McDonalds (Rural & Lemon) on Monday, July 10th at 9:30AM. Return on Tuesday evening. Contact mike ( mike@deserttrends.com) 480-967-7929 if you want to go or have questions. What to bring: -Backpack -Clothes to get wet -Dry clothes -Sturdy footwear -Dry Bags (I have extras if you need them) -Food & Snacks for Lunch, Dinner (Monday) and Breakfast, Lunch (Tuesday) -Lots of Water -Sunscreen -Tent/ Sleeping Bag - although it should be warm enough to go without if you want. -Small flashlight -Water Filter, if you have one -Stove, if you have one
