Using her voice as an instrument, Meredith Monk has, for more than 40 years, created a new genre of music and performance. She fuses sound with movement, image, object and light to reveal new methods of perception. Her newest work, Impermanence, takes us on a journey that is haunting and mysterious, but authentically human. She and her multifaceted Vocal Ensemble continue her exploration of non-traditional performance boundaries, using music, video, movement and text to create a powerful celebratory meditation on life. Her universal message about the delicacy and resilience of the human condition will leave you wanting more.
