Cardboard? Back in my day we just rode the smaller kids down the hill. ;D
Here's a trip update... Right now we have somewhere between 8 - 12 people going. There's still room for a few more people.
DMR just got another 10" of snow in the past few days for a total of 49" this season. They're opening the backside of the mountain this weekend, so they should have a large majority of the mountain open next week.
I'm attempt to get discount lift tickets, so with any luck it will only be about $60 pp for two day tickets. Also there's a place offering buy one get one free ski & snowboard rentals, but you have to make advance reservations, so if you need rentals please let me know.
We'll meet at McDonalds (Rural & Lemon) on Wednesday at 9:00AM. If you're willing to drive, please let me know.
Final note: If you're still too broke from all your holiday shopping, you can alway put the cost on your credit card - it's the american way!

Ooo, the interactive map on their website is fun www.durangomountainresort.com/assets/images/trailmap/flash.htmThat's a lot of trails! How do you know which one to go down since there's many hard ones and only 2 easy paths that start you down the mtn? I have a feeling I'm going to make friends with many happy trees this weekend ;D

Durango has lots of good snow and as of today they have 49 trails and 9 lifts open!
We'll be heading up to Colorado on Wednesday, Jan 11th at 9:00AM. The meeting place is McDonalds (Rural & Lemon). I'd like to leave promptly so we can get ski rentals in town before they close Wednesday evening. If you're willing to drive, please let me know.
I have some buy one get one free ski/ snowboard rental coupons. To use them we need to make a gear reservation, so email me ASAP if you will be renting gear.
I also have have discount lift tickets purchased. In order to use them, you need to email with your name and address as it appears on your driver's license and the last 4-digits of your driver's license number. This information will be printed on a coupon that I'll give to you and you'll need to show your matching ID to get your lift ticket at the ticket window.
The trip cost is $180 which includes lodging, lift tickets for two full days, and food/ drink at the cabin. Gas money should be paid separately to your driver. Equipment rentals will be paid individually.
In addition to all your cold weather clothes, be sure to bring your favorite CD's & DVD's and your swimsuit for the Après ski hot tub.
See y'all Wednesday!

A friend of mine in NY had a tree jump out in front of him. Hit it doing about 30MPH and his skis looked like a wet noodle after!
Jen- you don't need to decide if you're going one day or two right now, but I do need your license info before we leave.
