[glow=red,2,300]WE STILL HAVE SPACES AVAILABLE!!![/glow]
Nobody thinks it could happen to them but there is always a possibility, no matter your experience, that you could get lost, hurt, or stranded in the middle of nowhere. BE PREPARED!
On October 8th and 9th (Saturday and Sunday) Megan ("Boomer") and her partner "Huck" and some other colleagues from Lost and Found Adventures will be teaching a wilderness-intensive outdoor survival course on location on the Mogollon Rim, about 30 miles North of Payson (approximately 8000 feet in elevation).
This course will teach the following skills:
Firemaking
Map and Compass
Non-compass Navigation
Shelter Building
Signaling
Wilderness First Aid
Injury Evacuation
Psychological Survival
Pretravel Planning
Water Procurement
Water Treatment
Edible Plants
Poisonous Creatures
and provide an introduction to primitive skills for those who are interested.
This course is challenging, fun, and rewarding. We did it last semester and had a blast! This time around, there are more skills, more fun, and more surprises. We will give you the information you need to avoid a survival situation and help teach you the skills to remain alive and get found if you ever find yourself in a survival situation. This course is hands on and practical. Many of the skills are performed in a group setting of 5 - 15 of your peers with the help of your instructors.
Please join us! We want to teach you and have you learn from us the art of survival. It is our passion and we want to pass it on!
